Parametric Santini

Reinterpretation of baroque architecture

PROJECT – Architecture, Concept, Experiment
COLLABORATION –
Ondřej Pokoj, Mária Mušková
YEAR –
 2016

The process of exploring spatial structure by human movement with current technologies.

This project is reinterpreting the relationship between movement and space.  It is inspired by the dance performance of Andrey Milner. We used the motion detection of the human body by Kinect technology and transcript it into geometric forms and spatial sketches. The whole project was created at architectural workshop at the castle in Žďár nad Sázavou, where we drew inspiration from the buildings of baroque architect Jan Blažej Santini Aichl. The Santini’s geometrical patterns are also reflected in our geometry.

The project was created on architectural workshop Santiniho Jazyk leaded by Jiří Vítek, Ján Pernecký and Shota Tsikoliya.
