After winning the architectural competition, we prepared a study to revitalize the Umělecká street in Ostrava. The main task is the change of the current state (parking lot) to a representative public space in front of the city art gallery. The main motive is the shape of the cross, which responds to the shape of the building and the history of the place. Following this principle, we lead the „red carpet“ from the tram stop and head straight to the gallery. By using mobile seating, greenery and art objects, we create a pleasant public space.
